Sue Kennedy Named Director of Community and Guest Relations at Nacogdoches Medical Center

Nacogdoches, TX…December 7, 2006 – Sue Kennedy has been named Director of Community and Guest Relations at Nacogdoches Medical Center. She will primarily be responsible for maintaining a direct line of communication between the facility and the community, while maintaining positive and ongoing relationships with the medical staff, employees, patients and guests.

In her new role, Mrs. Kennedy will develop a guest relations program at the hospital which will enhance the customer service programs and increase the awareness of the hospital and its services throughout the community.

Sue is a long-time resident of Nacogdoches and has been serving as the Nacogdoches County Judge since January 1999. She served in the U.S. Army from 1973 – 1976 where she received certification as a clinical specialist, the civilian equivalent to a licensed practical nurse.

"Sue’s experience gained from holding the office of county judge makes her an ideal candidate for the position," said Gary Stokes, chief executive officer for Nacogdoches Medical Center. “She brings innovative ideas to Nacogdoches Medical Center, which will enable the facility to continue to provide high-quality and customer focused patient care close to home for Nacogdoches residents and the surrounding communities.”

"I am excited about the new challenges of working within a facility that is continuously striving to improve its quality and level of services to this community and East Texas," said Kennedy. "I care about the residents of Nacogdoches County and I am glad that Nacogdoches Medical Center has opened a door to a position that will allow me to be an advocate for them."
