   Our expansion of the Emergency Center increased the number of rooms to ten, to relieve families from long waits, to help shorten their stay in the emergency area, and to provide more pleasant surroundings. Equipped for a full range of medical emergencies, each room in our facility is specially furnished and designated for major trauma or accident-related injuries, obstetrics or gynecology, pediatrics or orthopedics. It is our goal to simplify complicated medical situations.
   The Emergency Center is staffed with specially trained physicians who have many years of experience in emergency medicine, and who are permanent physicians at Nacogdoches Medical Center. These physicians are always in. They have sleeping quarters adjoining the emergency area, making them immediately accessible when their services are needed. Nurses and other professional personnel in this unit are highly qualified and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support to provide the kind of medical responses needed for any emergency. When you require services at The Emergency Center you will receive a thorough evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, supported day and night by the areas' most complete hospital facility and staff. And specialists are available at a moments notice.
