Dr. Scamardo saved my life! I first came to him in debilitating, excruciating, tortuous, unimaginable, pain. Dr. Scamardo listened, explained and worked with me until I was able to get the migraines not just under control but 99.999% non-existant. Now he Is monitoring me so I can maintain these great results. I do not ever want to lose Dr. Scamardo. In fact, as dementia runs through my family. I have already mentioned that to him. He will be the Dr I turn to if the need arises. I have full confidence in Dr. Scamardo's knowledge and understanding. He is the BEST Neurologist!!

We were treated nicely from the beginning till the end. I Must say the nurse we saw first was very pleasant and thorough. Then hen we say the doctor I knew right away I had my sister in good hands. He as far as my first visit with my sister really cared about her and tested her with a test that was way more detailed than a test I had for our mother at a different place. I was taken aback when I completed verbal memory tests. Dr. said "you still have memory problems." I only found out about the brain atrophy from MRI, he scheduled last year. Dr. Scamardo was kind, friendly, compassionate, and knowledgable. He graciously fielded numerous questions and explained the answers in terms that we could understand. He identified a diagnosis long missed by others, and consequently, my father is already experiencing some improvement in his condition. As a family, we are deeply grateful for all that Dr. Scamardo has done for my father. Some in the medical community seem to dismiss the needs of the elderly, especially those whose condition has severely declined. But Dr. Scamardo was not like this. He was attentive toward my father, treated him with compassion, and wanted to do whatever was necessary to address his medical needs. Dr. Scamardo was also very generous with his time in discussing my father's diagnosis and treatment with my mother and me.

It would have been too upsetting for him to hear certain aspects of his medical history (Alzheimer's) and health decline discussed, especially when he is unable to speak and contribute to the conversation. Julie automatically suggested that she and I move to another room where I could inform her about his medical history. My mother and I were amazed. We usually have to suggest this to the person doing the intake. But Julie automatically knew to do this!
