Take a Sneak Peak

Before your baby is born, take time to schedule a tour of NMC’s L&D, Nursery and Post-Partum Women’s Center. Explore our comfortable maternity suites and well-equipped delivery rooms. See where your baby will be born, the amenities and comforts our maternity suites have to offer, and meet our expert nurses and staff.

The more familiar you are with your environment, the more at ease you will be for your delivery. Tours are available between 9 am – 5 pm, but can also be scheduled at any time that is convenient for you.

Call our Women’s Center Team at (936) 568-3150 to schedule your tour or click here to register online.

Prepared Parenting

  1. Pre-select a physician to care for your baby while you’re at the hospital. This could be a Pediatrician or a Family Practice doctor. If you need a physician referral, call (936) 568-3289 or toll-free at (888) 545-6979. Our physicians often offer free prenatal consultations, so you have the opportunity to meet ahead of time and decide if it is the right fit for you and your family.
  2. Pre-register for your delivery with NMC. Save time and effort on the big day. It is generally recommended that you pre-register and complete your admissions paperwork by the 6th month of your pregnancy. It is also a good time to schedule a tour of our facilities. Call (936) 568-3450 to get started.
  3. Pack a bag for you and your baby. About one month prior to your delivery, have a bag packed with your favorite toiletries, pajamas, baby book, baby nail clippers and an outfit for the baby. Put the bag in a convenient location that can be quickly accessed. At NMC, we encourage our mothers to breastfeed, but we also provide infant formula, bottles and nipples for feedings at the hospital. We will also provide baby gowns, a bulb syringe, diapers, wipes, baby soap and lotion for the baby.
  4. Keep your baby safe and secure. Make a list of approved visitors for our staff and encourage your guests to bring an official ID with them when they visit. Also, make sure you have a legal car seat ready for baby’s first car ride home. Familiarize yourself with your baby’s car seat before discharge day. We always encourage you to visit a certified installation location, such as the fire department or police headquarters. Contact Safe Riders at (800) 252-8255 for more information on car seat safety.

Make it a family affair. NMC takes the whole family into account with our family-friendly delivery rooms. We also offer a special sibling tour, designed to ease the childbirth transition and help older brothers and sisters welcome the newest member of the family.
