Versatile Infinix System Offers Greater Patient Access and
High-Quality Images

NACOGDOCHES
, TX, August 14, 2009 – Nacogdoches Medical Center, a 153 bed acute care hospital announced the installation of the Toshiba Infinix™ CF-i/SP system at its Cardiac Catheterization Lab, located adjacent to the surgical suite within the hospital.

            “The installation of the new Toshiba Infinix Catheterization Lab will help Nacogdoches Medical Center improve the overall delivery of healthcare in our community by using advanced diagnostic imaging,” said Gary Stokes, CEO”. The Toshiba system will be used in the Cath Lab to improve patient care and comfort by aiding physicians in fast, accurate diagnosis and treatment for patients with cardiac conditions. Coupled with the 2009 Health Grades Cardiac Surgery Excellence Award, ranking Nacogdoches Medical Center among the top 10 % in the nation and American Heart Association’s Get with The Guidelines –Coronary Artery Disease Silver Performance Achievement Award, Nacogdoches Medical Center offers big city medicine right here at home.” Stokes said.

            Toshiba’s Infinix is a dedicated cardiac cath lab that features a floor mounted five-axis positioner that allows head-to-toe and fingertip-to-fingertip coverage at multiple angles, making it possible to obtain images without re-positioning patients.

            “The system’s mobility and unparalleled patient access is like no other floor mounted system in the industry, allowing physicians to enjoy an ergonomic working environment to achieve optimal patient care and diagnostic confidence,” explained Robert Micer, director, X-ray Vascular Business Unit, Toshiba.  Toshiba’s Infinix system includes a high-definition flat-panel detector that displays small details including intricate blood vessels and small devices such as stents and guide wires.
