An Investment in Quality Care for You

NMC Laird Cancer Center at Nacogdoches Medical Center has been helping East Texas families fight cancer since 1992. Quality physicians and staff, combined with advanced technology mean you can receive exceptional oncology care right here at home - at the only cancer center in Nacogdoches.

NMC Cancer Center technology

In addition to compassionate care by experts in cancer treatment, NMC now offers:

  • Advanced Radiation Therapy equipment - Powered by the Varian TrueBeam® system, an innovative and non-invasive approach to treatment that can precisely target and attack tumors, this advanced technology also provides a range of targeted radiation therapy that can be administered in much shorter treatment sessions. Rather than 20 to 30 minutes, many NMC patients have received therapy in under five minutes with the TrueBeam’s RapidArc® system.
  • 3-D Mammography, another advancement in the fight against cancer for early and better detection of abnormalities in breast tissue. This ground-breaking technology provides a three-dimensional view and 40% higher detection of invasive cancer over previous 2-D mammograms alone.
  • Robotic-Assisted Surgery using 3-D high-definition magnification and tiny instruments that can provide less invasive, more precise surgical procedures to treat a wide variety of conditions, including gynecological cancer removal, prostatectomy and many others.

For you and your family, it means more precision and better care, close to home. So you don’t have to travel out of town to get excellent care.
