Our Full Timeline
1970s
In 1975, 15 local physicians who shared a passion for providing high quality care for their patients and wanted to make a difference in the way medicine was being practiced in Nacogdoches, founded our hospital.
1980s
In the 80’s we saw the addition of our Women’s Center, and full service Imaging Department.
1990s
The 90’s brought the creation of our Same Day Surgery department, the Loma Laird Cancer Center, and our Occupational Health Clinic.
2000s
In the new millennium our trajectory of growth never slowed, as we added the Nacogdoches Surgery Center, our Free Standing Diagnostic Imaging Center and the Wound Care Center.
2010s
In the 2010s, Nacogdoches Medical Center added both the Breast Health and Infusion Centers. Late in 2014, after almost a full year of construction, we proudly opened the doors to our most recent addition: the NMC-Center Emergency and Diagnostic Imaging Facility. This off campus facility is a $7.8 million dollar investment in Shelby County, providing state of the art, full service emergency room care around the clock for the people of Deep East Texas. Also at that location, we offer outpatient diagnostics and lab services to conveniently serve the needs of all East Texans.
